Boarding, Take Two

Last Sunday I joined up with Taejin and Hoya and squeezed in one last day of boarding before the snow goes bye-bye. We opted to do a half day and headed for Jisan Forest Resort, only an hours drive from Seoul. It was a fun day, except for one thing....that ironic reality that anyone who skis or board knows all too well about that one last day on the slopes in late winter or early spring....late season snow SUCKS! The stuff we were on was all man made, and it was crap. Like boarding on a snowcone. Sticky, lumpy, horrible.

You call this snow??!?

I fell way more that I usually do, and was actually really sore afterwards. I haven't experienced that since back in the beginner days!

Christina and I used to make fun of girls with boarding outfits that were "too well matched," like they were trying too hard to look good. Well, by those standards, I am the coolest person on the slopes!

But the best part of the day was our "ride." Hoya's boyfriend was able to expense our trip through his company, so we rode up in a deluxe taxi....

... complete with a driver wearing a suit and white gloves. Even though we felt like jerks climbing into a luxury taxi at the slopes, it sure was a nice way to travel!

Well I rode on Monday and it sucks too! Actually, is the rain would just be colder and turn to snow we would be riding pow pow! It rained 6 inches last week and killed all the snow around the house....no more "Lakeshore Jib N' Jumps" --thats the name of my park(set up without permission on neighoring property)! Everyone is hoping for a Miracle March (couple feet late season is not out of the pic) but it rained lightly again yesterday and probably a bit more today... :(
