Bumper Sticker Politics
I never thought about it before, but Americans have some bizarre ways of expressing their political opinions. Like bumper stickers. They don't do anything except decorate your car and tell others how you feel about things. It's like a lazy person's way of being "politically active." You can exercise your right to free speech on a daily basis without barely lifting a finger. But it really doesn't make a difference. I mean, how many people have actually had their political views influenced by the sticker on the back of a car?
But some of them are funny, and they give me something read now and then while I wait at a light.
I saw this one on the back of a Volvo SUV in the Whole Food parking lot this morning. It's the best I've seen in awhile:
